The Belgian architecture studio Office KGDVS has designed a circular house with a covered trail that separates the natural landscape from an interior patio.
In seeking to emphasize as much as possible the natural beauty of the site, all facades can be fully opened, creating a house without limits in relation to the surrounding nature.
The landscape runs through its comfortable living space, which is defined by the four sets of posts. These posts support the concrete circular roof, which shelters the living space while becoming virtually invisible. In the interior patio are a pool and a wild garden.
Acclaimed by critics, Solo Office is widely considered as one of the most extraordinary homes in the world and was nominated as one of the for the 40 best architecture projects for the 2019 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award.
